DAS

DAS is a digital diagnostic and assessment tool designed to systematically and quantitatively evaluate speech production abilities in individuals with dysarthria. In addition to assessing core speech production domains—respiration, phonation, articulation, resonance, and prosody—DAS includes evaluations of speech mechanisms, which are fundamental prerequisites for speech production, as well as speech motor assessments that measure maximal speech motor performance. By using DAS, clinicians can efficiently analyze and evaluate speech mechanisms, speech motor skills, and overall speech production. The system identifies strengths and weaknesses across each domain and provides practical information to support individualized treatment planning for patients with dysarthria.

Standardized Assessment

Automated System

Digital Diagnostic Assessment
By utilizing standardized assessment tools, DAS delivers reliable diagnostic results for dysarthria. Based on these results, clinicians can establish systematic treatment plans and provide personalized therapy.
Standardized Assessment Administration
DAS standardizes dysarthria evaluation by applying structured and validated assessment protocols. This enables more accurate diagnosis and precise evaluation of patient conditions.
Establishment of Severity Classification Criteria
Previously, the lack of standardized tools made disability grading difficult. DAS introduces clear and objective criteria, enabling more accurate and reliable diagnosis and severity classification of dysarthria.
Evaluation of Post-Surgical and Treatment Recovery
DAS assesses recovery of speech mechanisms and speech production functions following surgery or therapeutic intervention. It accurately tracks changes and improvements during the recovery process, providing essential insights for ongoing treatment planning.
Severity Assessment After Stroke and Brain Injury
DAS evaluates impairments in speech mechanisms and speech production that may occur after stroke or brain injury and accurately determines their severity. This supports prognosis estimation and the development of appropriate rehabilitation treatment plans.
Severity Assessment in Degenerative Brain Diseases
DAS evaluates declines in language and speech mechanism functions that occur during the progression of neurodegenerative diseases and closely analyzes severity. This enables accurate monitoring of disease progression and supports the development of tailored treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Identification of Individuals Outside the Normal Range
DAS enables the identification of individuals who demonstrate clinically significant declines in speech mechanisms or speech production beyond the normal range during the aging process.
